Our History

GH-soy.png

Ricketts Farm Service, Inc. was established on May 15, 1972 when Kim and Linda Ricketts, with the help of their family, purchased a company-owned Purina Checkerboard Store West of Salisbury, Missouri. At that time, the business consisted of 4 employees, a feed mill, and one bulk feed delivery truck. Within a year of the purchase of the business, a liquid fertilizer plant was added along with a Big A for custom application.

The year of the flood, 1993, brought the addition of the Dalton Elevator as levees were breached and the 30,000 acre Dalton bottom was covered with water. Today, the Dalton Elevator provides grain storage capacity of nearly one million bushels, as well as grain drying, merchandising and seed and feed products.

In 1996 a new liquid fertilizer/bulk herbicide blending plant was added at Salisbury. Continuous upgrades have Storage capacity exceeds 250,000 gallons for liquid fertilizer products including 32-0-0 UAN solution and 12-0-0-26 ammonium thiosulfate.

With the help of loyal employees and customers, what began as a small feed mill has transformed over the years into a thriving feed, crop input, grain, and farm supply business with over 20 employees and a multi-county service area.
